You pick up your utensils and you start to doodle, just waiting for the night to pass. You wonder if anyone’s around, but if they are, they’re being extremely quiet.
Time is moving slowly, and you’re kind of lonely.

Karkat kept his eyes on her handiwork as he listened to her conception with a blank expression on his face until the abomination remark, which left with with the opposite of a smirk and arched eyebrows. He often wondered how she really felt about his ‘condition’. Sure she wanted to drink him of it..
viciously.. and most trolls, usually the low-bloods; didn’t seem to care about that system but Karkat is considered a freak. The high-bloods especially looked down on low-bloods. Let alone an aberration such as himself and Terezi is technically considered to be in the high caste. He was probably just feeling self-conscious but he couldn’t shake the feeling that somewhere in her mind, she was probably disgusted with him. As he was getting lost in what were probably just stupid delusions, he noticed her pull his hand into her lap and hold it with a look on her face that seemed to wish the moment would last forever. An urge hit him and he just went with it.
Karkat pulled himself up and sat behind Terezi and rested his back on the wall behind him. He took hold of each of her shoulders and gently pulled her back to rest on his chest as his arms went underneath hers and wrapped around her midsection. He put his chin over her right shoulder and kissed her collar bone before whispering “I love you, Terezi.” into her ear.
His right foot was pulled back so that his knee was up on her right side and his left leg laid straight on her left side. He smiled and nuzzled into her neck and held tight around her waist trying not to think about what he just did.. but he failed and got nervous and embarrassed about it instantly~
For a short moment, Terezi was afraid that her joking was going to scare Karkat away. She opened her mouth to ask him not to go, only to find herself being pulled backwards to lean against his front side.
Everything seemed hyper sensitive in this moment, even more so than usual. His lips were warm and soft on the base of her neck, and the sudden touch forced a giggle into the air. Karkat’s breath tickled the small hairs around her slightly pointed ear, sending a shiver through her. His words resonated in the air for what seemed like minutes. Terezi’s words were lost in a slurry of emotion. She relaxed and nuzzled back into his jawline. She could feel his body temperature rising from his sudden embarrassment. The warmth was inviting and the pinkish red scents that were flooding her senses made her bare her teeth in happiness.
“1 LOV3 YOU TOO, K4RKL3S~” she purred sweetly, almost in a whisper, trying to keep these feelings between them exclusively. This was their secret place. Nothing had to be hidden anymore.

Terezi shot up violently from her recuperacoon with staggered breath. She figured after this long she’d stop having those nightmares. Sleepy and blinking the small crusts out of her eyes, she teetered around her hive, slow and uncoordinated, taking care of her morning routine.
Ignore it. Ignore it. They’re just dreams.
She threw herself on to her chair with a sigh, and booted up her husktop. It took no time at all for her to lose herself in the art and colors on the wall.
She heard a little chime and snapped back to reality if you could call it that. Two sniffs and a lick later, she could identify Karkat’s stormy weather letters.
Terezi licked the words a second time. It wasn’t that early. He’s out of his mind.
‘H3Y K4R. 1 DON’T KNOW. JUST H4V3 TO G3T STUFF DON3 TOD4Y.”
Terezi opened he internet browser and went to one of the many websites she spent time on while fucking off. It was going to be a long day, and so far, there was nothing of interest to do.
“WHY THE H3LL 4R3 YOU UP? W4TCH1NG ON3 OF YOUR SH1TTY MOV13S?”
<!-- more --> “WAS.” Karkat half-frowned as he stared at the screen, contemplating on what to say next as he rested the right side of his face on his open right hand palm and rhythmically tapped on his desk with his left hand, one finger at a time in a wave fashion as he impatiently waited on himself. “WELL.. WHAT IS IT YOU NEED TO DO TODAY? MAYBE I CAN COME OVER AND HELP.” Karkat worded it like he was the one doing the favor when really he just wanted to go spend time with her away from this place for awhile.
He would never admit it but he actually enjoyed her little tree hive despite constantly making fun of her for having it. The seclusion is kind of nice. Arms crossed and laid flat on his desk and he rested his chin between his arms and watched their conversation box, waiting to see the little message that she was typing back. WHAT A FUCKING DULL DAY. He thought to himself with a sigh.
Terezi blinked at the screen. She did things like this mostly out of habit, and because she imagined that she must look sort of cute, not that anyone was around to watch her do it. In her mind’s eye, it gave her an adorable, almost quirky air, so she just sort of never stopped.
She was surprised at Karkat’s words, and just licked them over and over to make sure that she was interpreting them correctly. Jegus only knows what could be on the screen that might make the letters construed. She always thought he hated her hive, what with all the crap he spews about it, but…he actually wants to come over? He wouldn’t ever help with things that needed to get done, either (Not that there actually was anything to begin with) What’s he playing at?
“JUST1C3, MOSTLY” She typed, smiling smugly and starting to feel like herself again. “YOU SHOULD COM3 OV3R 4ND W3’LL F1N4LLY HOLD 4 PROP3R TR14L FOR YOU. 1 KNOW OF 4 COUPL3 OF TH1NGS YOU’V3 DON3 TH4T 4 GOOD L3G1SL4C3R4TOR SHOULDN’T’V3 L3T SL1P BY, 4ND 1 TH1NK PYR4LSPR1T3 H4S B33N K33P1NG 4N 3Y3 ON OTH3R SH3N4N1G4NS OF YOURS. Terezi found herself giggling in the morning light. It was warm and trickling through the window. She leaned back in her chair and threw her arms up, just to stretch. She wriggled around to get the cramps out of her back, squeaking as the little sores popped away. She listened for the sound of Karkat’s message. Gee. Did time slow down? He takes forever to answer.
Karkat read her reply with an ‘of-fucking-course’ look on his face. “I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION YOU ACTUALLY HAD REAL SHIT TO DO. DO YOU TASTE HOW SLANTED I MADE THE WORD ‘REAL’? Index finger came crashing down on the enter key and then Karkat leaned back and combed his fingers through his hair in mild frustration as he gathered the remains of his temper. She giggled at seeing him get so worked up over nothing. It was just too fun sending him off on a tangent. Terezi couldn’t bring herself to not do it when the opportunity presented itself. It was a deeper calling that just seemed to make everything better.
Terezi leaned her elbows on her desk and laid her head in her hands. She couldn’t stop herself from smiling, thinking about Karkat’s most recent freakout. He’s so ridiculous sometimes.

She spun around in search.
Karkat glared at random pedestrians that littered the area, some glaring back, others greeting via waving in vain. “WHY THE FUCK DID I DECIDE TO WALK?” Karkat muttered underneath his breath as he observed his fellow trolls scampering about. Hands dug deep into his pockets as he donned a unamused visage. Arched eyebrows hung above sleepless eyes as he watched his feet kick random rocks, Faygo bottles and the like.
Oculars fixed on the area where the suburban area met with the forested area and he pulled his hands from the warmth of his pockets to withdraw his sickle which appeared in his right hand suddenly. Karkat thrashed ever so often at the vines that prohibited passage deeper into the wooded depths. Karkat could always remember the path to Terezi’s place since he was young but no matter how many times he traversed the trail, the woodland growth always seemed to close up the path within days.
“FUCKING BRANCHES AND SHIT~” Karkat continued to hack away until the sickle got caught in a thick tree branch that crept along the path he was taking. Sighing, Karkat took hold of the handle with both hands and started tugging at it, trying to get it loose. A foot planted on it for extra strength and then he finally pried it out but he lost his balance and flung his sickle down as he fell backwards onto his back. His hand reached out behind him to take as much of the damage as it could to prevent his back from getting fucked up or something similar.
Much to his dismay, however, he happened to handplant on the sharp hook of his sickle as he crashed backwards. “SON OF A FUCKING BITCH!” He rolled over and held his hand which at this point was gushing blood as he tried to cover it up with his other hand. Needless to say, it wasn’t working too well. By this point, Terezi was probably in earshot of him yelling at either himself, his hand doing stupid shit like bleeding, or his sickle for being so insolent.
Karkat picked himself up off of the ground and stored his oh so faithful sickle away as he stumbled to the tree Terezi resided in and looked up, leaves falling out of his hair and off of his shoulders as he yelled up “HEY! DROP THAT FUCKING LADDER OR SOMETHING!” he demanded with a sour look on his face and obviously upset and shaken. Terezi already knew his blood color at this point so he wasn’t exactly worried about that other than the fact that he was feeling like an abomination. Sighing, Karkat held his wounded hand to the side of his shirt, hoping to cover it up so he didn’t lose too much blood as he waited.
Being careful not to step on any of her friends strewn about the floor, she skipped about her home, leaping from wall to wall and humming a little tune. Terezi became a little bothered with how messy things were getting, so she decided to straighten up. By “straighten up”, of course, she merely just decided to move all of her chalk from the center of the floor to the side of the room, neatly away in their boxes, all assorted from best tasting to worst.
Back on the hunt for the thing that will bother Karkat the most if he comes over. What am I looking for? It has to be the ultimate thing…
Why was she even searching? Everything will piss him off, it’s impossible to not anger him, really. Terezi began to think that perhaps she was trying a little to hard. It was probably just to entertain herself though; she knew Karkat wasn’t coming over.
Suddenly, Terezi stood still, startled by the sound of a branch being torn down and a yell.
OH…M4YB3 H3 *1S*…
She ran to the door, becoming worried by the stronger growing scent of Karkat’s candy blood.
“WH4T TH3 FUCK D1D YOU G3T YOURS3LF 1NTO, K4RK4T?” She yelled, throwing down the ladder to get him into her hive as quickly as possible. Terezi leaned over the edge and saw the faint outline of Karkat, unaccompanied, clutching his hand to his side. 4T L34ST H3’S 4LON3. K1D C4N’T COV3R UP 4 D3FORM1TY TO S4V3 H1S L1F3…L1T3R4LLY.
“SO, YOU C4N’T 3V3N W4LK THROUGH SOM3 BRUSH W1THOUT HURT1NG YOURS3LF, HUH?” She laughed heartily at him, careful to not get him too angry. Frankly, it was nice to be able to smell him again, and she didn’t want him storming off in a huff. That sort of good bye tends to ruin nice moments like these.
If Terezi could actually see, the first thing she would sense with her sight would be a pouting Karkat looking up at her. He could only growl at her condescending remark and wait for her to drop the ladder and proceed to climb without saying a word.
What a pain in the ass it was to climb this shitty ladder with one hand, he thought to himself as he closed in on the entrance. He could never get used to how high up her hive was, it was kind of annoying. “HOLY SHIT, WHY DIDN’T YOU JUST HAVE THIS BUILT ON THE FLOOR?” He mumbled under his breath as he finally reached the top. Karkat flung his right elbow up on her floor and used his left hand in conjunction with his right elbow to pull himself up and onto her floor.
Karkat flopped up and rolled over onto his back, holding his wound as he just stared blankly at her ceiling. “HEY.” And that was all he could say with a slightly upset look on his face.
Standing over a winded Karkat, Terezi continued her fierce giggling. Getting up the ladder was a feat that was pretty amusing to be in range of. She floated to the floor by Karkat’s side and leaned over his face.
“YOU’R3 SO S1LLY, YOU KNOW TH4T? YOU COULD’V3 JUST 4SK3D FOR H3LP.” She pecked his nose softly and licked his lips. “NOW L3T’S S33 WH4T W3 C4N DO 4BOUT TH1S…BLOOD…1SSU3.” She giggled at herself while lifting his injured hand to her face.
She sniffed ravenously, gauging the intensity of his wound. H3’S PROB4BLY JUST B31NG 4N OV3R S3NS1T1V3 B4BY 4BOUT 1T. Finally she found the source of the blood. An inch long slit in the palm of his hand, pretty deep, probably a lot worse than she was pretending it was. Terezi sniffed the gouge directly and was overwhelmed by the smell. She just had to taste it.
“K4RK4T…” For once, she was rendered speechless. Her tongue traced every crevice in his hand, focusing hard on the cut, because she liked the way Karkat winced when she got too close.
“DO YOU H4V3 4NY 1D34 HOW D3L1C1OUS YOU 4R3, K4RKL3S?”
Karkat looked up at Terezi half-heartedly as she sort of hovered around. She kind of reminded him of a barkbeast after being away from it from any period of time. The constant sniffing licking and seemingly happy look on her face and overall ‘excitedness’.
Conflicted feelings about that certain aspect assaulted his think-pan on whether or not he thought it was cute or obnoxious as hell. Probably not the latter but that’s another quirk about her he wouldn’t admit to liking even though she already seemed to kind of know. Expressions drifted from being in pain and upset, to shocked at her sopping wet tongue gliding across his lips to being shy and slightly nervous for some reason.
It’s not like it was an alien concept but the suddenness of it took him by surprise. An eyebrow quirked as her attention was stolen by his wound. Uh oh..He knew exactly where this was going. He did take comfort in it despite how strange it was for his matesprit to want to suck him dry like a rainbowdrinker out of the movies because of the fact that pretty much anyone else would be appalled by the sight of his blood but here she was; carnivorously devouring it.
Never before has he been so turned on and creeped out at the same time. After hearing her tone change to somewhat mesmerized and hearing her ask if he knew exactly HOW delicious he tasted, he decided he better say something before she goes into a literal blood-lust and starts sucking his puncture wound like it was a fresh fruit or some shit. “A..ALRIGHT TEREZI. RELAX. HOW ABOUT YOU STOP THE BLOOD FLOW INSTEAD OF DRINKING THE FUCKING BLOOD FLOW? JESUS. FUCK.” Karkat allowed his head to fall back onto the floor with a *thud* as he rolled his eyes.
Terezi stopped licking him only to stare in his direction with doe eyes. She found herself completely lost in thought, her face blank towards his own.
“H3H3 SORRY K4RKL3S. 1 JUST W4SN’T 3XP3CT1NG YOU TO B3 SO” She paused for a moment, listening for anything that could distract him from what she had gotten herself into. Backed into a corner, she continued. “…D3C4D3NT~” She sighed, as if going through a nostalgic phase, and smiled “W3 SHOULD PROB4BLY G3T TH1S CL34N3D 4ND STOPP3D UP THOUGH, HUH?”
Without waiting for a sarcastic asshole response, Terezi scampered away, searching for bandages and the like. She had always learned to keep a fair amount of them stored up after her FLARPing days. They most certainly didn’t play very safe back in the day. Copious amounts of clanking and clunking came from inside Terezi’s hive. “OK4Y! 1 TH1NK 1 M1GHT H4V3…FOUND…OW! 1 FOUND TH3M, K4RKL3S!”
Half dancing back to her slowly bleeding out matesprit, she began to patch up his hand. “YOU’R3 SUCH 4 KLUTZ, K4RK4T.”](http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lvz2vwOj9P1r5gsnao1_500.jpg)

“YOU’R3 SUCH 4 KLUTZ, K4RK4T.”

EXTRA FUCKING SLANTED TO REPRESENT THE MOCKING NATURE OF IT. I’M NOT GONNA GO ALL THE WAY OVER THERE JUST TO END UP WITH A NOOSE AROUND MY NECK WHILE YOUR ‘JURY’ STARES AT ME WITH THEIR LIFELESS BUTTON EYES. YOU’RE SUCH A SPAZ, YOU KNOW THAT?”
Index finger came crashing down on the enter key and then Karkat leaned back and combed his fingers through his hair in mild frustration as he gathered the remains of his temper. It was his fault, really. He walked right into that one and he knew it. Karkat sighed and crossed his arms over his chest, waiting to see what she had to say next.

Karkat took a knee and then tied his shoelaces tighter and then started to stroll towards the door, grabbing the handle of his sickle; Homes Smell Ya Later and dragged it off of the table as it scraped the surface and dropped off the side. Karkat used the falling momentum to bring it up suddenly with a ridiculously awesome spin before captchalogging it. Yeah, its a shame no one seen that. They would probably want an autograph.
Karkat walked out the front door while thinking to himself, “Hmm.. Maybe I should’ve let Terezi know I was actually coming over.” Blah, whatever. The infernal sun was down by this point so it was perfect for wandering out and she didn’t live that far away anyways.
She began laughing while her fingers flew about the keyboard with her quip of a response(SUCH 4 G3N1US), but it was too late by the time she’d finished. With a final beep, she tasted carcinoGeneticist ceased trolling gallowsCalibrator on her monitor. Terezi leaned back in her chair, sighed, and shook her head slightly.

Continuing to goof around on mindless social networking websites, Terezi scrolled through the endless amounts of porn (mostly human), some cats, “cute girls”, and something called “4 Chords” that was always making her want to unfollow everyone she found on this site. It was a boring and slow day, and she wasn’t in a very pleasant mood. Having Karkat log out on her certainly didn’t help, and she got to wondering where he’d gotten to.

“WAS.” Karkat half-frowned as he stared at the screen, contemplating on what to say next as he rested the right side of his face on his open right hand palm and rhythmically tapped on his desk with his left hand, one finger at a time in a wave fashion as he impatiently waited on himself.
It was his fault, really. He walked right into that one and he knew it. Karkat sighed and crossed his arms over his chest, waiting to see what she had to say next.

“YOU KNOW, HANGING FROM A NOOSE SOUNDS MORE AND MORE APPEALING THE MORE YOU TYPE SHIT.” Karkat replied via thacking away at the keyboard with mild frustration. carcinoGeneticist ceased trolling gallowsCalibrator. Karkat slammed his husktop closed before using it to push himself to his feet. Arms stretched out as he yawned.

“WAS.” Karkat half-frowned as he stared at the screen, contemplating on what to say next as he rested the right side of his face on his open right hand palm and rhythmically tapped on his desk with his left hand, one finger at a time in a wave fashion as he impatiently waited on himself.
